MGCN MXDA XA-1

MGCN is an international producer of chemicals and materials, building a new Meta-Xylene Diamine (MXDA) plant to meet the increasing demand for MXDA and improve their geological positioning.

MXDA is an organic compound with the chemical formula C₈H₁₃N₃, an aromatic diamine. MXDA is primarily used in the field of polymer chemistry as a crosslinking agent or curing agent in the production of epoxy resins and polyurethanes. MXDA is also utilized as a curing agent for polyurethane coatings, adhesives, and elastomers.

It’s important to note that MXDA is a hazardous chemical, and proper safety measures shall be followed during its handling, storage, and usage to ensure worker safety and prevent environmental contamination.

KRAFT will fulfil the role of the Mechanical and Piping Contractor (M&P Contractor), whereas Bilfinger Tebodin is the Engineer and MGC Specialty Chemicals Netherlands B.V. is the Client.

There will be furthermore interfaces with Contractors for Civil, Structural and Architectural Works (CSA Contractor), Firefighting works- (Firefighting contractor), Railway- (Railway contractor), Electrical Installation and Instrumentation Works- (E&I Contractor) & Suppliers.

MGC, an esteemed global producer of chemicals and materials, has embarked on the construction of a cutting-edge Meta-Xylene Diamine (MXDA) plant, driven by the escalating demand for MXDA and their strategic positioning objectives.

MXDA stands as an aromatic diamine compound with the chemical formula C₈H₁₃N₃. It serves as a pivotal component in polymer chemistry, predominantly employed as a crosslinking or curing agent in the fabrication of epoxy resins and polyurethanes. Additionally, MXDA finds application as a curing agent in polyurethane coatings, adhesives, and elastomers.

Given the hazardous nature of MXDA, it is imperative to adhere rigorously to safety protocols throughout its handling, storage, and utilization processes to safeguard worker well-being and mitigate environmental risks.

In this ambitious endeavor, KRAFT assumes the pivotal role of the Mechanical and Piping Contractor (M&P Contractor, seamlessly collaborating with contractors specializing in Civil, Structural, and Architectural Works (CSA Contractor), Firefighting (Firefighting Contractor), Railway infrastructure (Railway Contractor), Electrical Installation and Instrumentation Works (E&I Contractor), and various suppliers to ensure project success.
